Nuvola and BluIP have teamed up to address and enhance interdepartmental hotel industry communications and functionality. Nuvola’s guest service management software (GSMS) will be meshed with mobile messaging, strengthened push-to-talk, and location awareness to support the security of workers via the BluIP App. Such capabilities will be made available to both company clients come February.
Through the joint venture, Nuvola and BluIP, a cloud-based unified communication services company, will help the hospitality industry effectively create and complete service tickets through a mobile device or voice commands. With constant movement and customers consistently checking in and out of hotels, timeliness is of the essence, especially to maintain the highest in service standards.
“Both of our companies are dedicated to improving the functionality of the modern hotel, and understand their needs intimately,” Nuvola Founder and CEO Juan Carlos Abello said in a statement. “We were most impressed by BluIP’s understanding of the industry and their knowledge that back-of-house staff still rely heavily on enhanced messaging and push-to-talk to improve work efficiency and productivity.”
With BluIP’s BeHive messaging forum, all hospitality departments can supervise tasks, events, groups, and personal communications. These tasks can be performed through the use of the agent’s mobile device.
GSMS services offered through Nuvola include:
- Housekeeping inspection
- Hotel directory
- API integration
- Packages
- Lost and found
- Preventative maintenance
“After seeing the functionality of the Nuvola platform first-hand, it is clear to me that our goals are aligned when it comes to improving the communication and staff efficiency in the hospitality industry,” said Ericson Abing, director of product management for BluIP. “Workflow optimization and communication integration are the pillars of the BluIP platform. We feel that with our current app functionality for mobile devices, our clients would benefit greatly from Nuvola’s desktop-side of the solution when it comes to guest service management.”
