Germany’s toplink is offering medium and large enterprises the entire BroadSoft (News - Alert) Business suite running on the BroadCloud platform. The suite features contact center, team collaboration, and other unified communications capabilities.
“The BroadSoft Business cloud calling, collaboration and customer engagement applications can deliver a solution that is fully able to replace premise PBXs for medium-sized and large enterprise. No other provider in Germany currently covers the entire spectrum of the BroadSoft Business suite on BroadCloud," said Marco Meier, regional vice president of sales at BroadSoft.
Meier adds that international offices in more than 50 countries can connect into these capabilities through the new toplink offering. That makes it more efficient for business customers exchange of information internally, reduces internal telephone costs, and increases data security.
"BroadSoft's cloud services and toplink complement each other perfectly,” said Helmut Neumann, Product Manager of UCC at toplink. “BroadSoft enables us to offer our existing and new customers even more collaboration opportunities and help them to leverage them for their own benefit."
BroadSoft sells unified communications solutions for business customers. The company has been especially successful with microbusinesses and SMBs. But it’s also been working to go upmarket as well as to serve global companies. In fact, BroadSoft already has some 100,000-line accounts. And the company brings its products to market primarily via a network of communications service provider partners.
In late October Cisco (News - Alert) announced plans to buy BroadSoft for $1.9 billion. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2018. The cloud is the future, and Cisco’s move to buy BroadSoft may help the company both capture more SMB business and move its UC strategy more toward the cloud.
