Bob Crissman has been named the Vice President and Channel Chief of Vonage (News - Alert), the cloud communications provider. Crissman has quite a long history of working with businesses to enhance channel development, with much success along the way.
Prior to his new position, Crissman was the VP of Global Channel Sales and Channel Chief at Alfresco Software. While at Alfresco, he created and implemented a new partner program, which increased partner revenue 20 percent over two years. In addition, he held supervisor roles at both Microsoft (News - Alert) and VMware, the latter where he created a model that has now netted approximately one billion dollars.
According to Kenny Wyatt, Vonage Chief Revenue Officer, "Bob has deep experience in building high performing, global sales teams and delivering go-to-market strategies to meet customer demands. Having served in several leadership positions in various software companies throughout his career, Bob brings a unique and valuable perspective to Vonage. With expertise in the channel and enterprise space, Bob will also chart a course of leadership in the support and growth of our Channel Partner (News - Alert) program. The appointment of Bob to Channel Chief, and his extensive experience in both of these areas, comes at a pivotal moment as we reinforce our commitment to the channel to continue to grow our offering within the enterprise space. We are thrilled to welcome him to the Vonage team."
It seems like there is not a better time for Crissman to join the team, as there have just been 19 patents secured by the company, for both home and business. The patents include advancements in cloud-based communications and VoIP services will also be added to mobile devices as to avoid to ever daunting roaming fees.
As part of Crissman’s new position, he will work with Vonage’s network of Master Agents, Sub Agents, ISVs, and VARs and it seems like he is the perfect new addition.
