The umbrella of VoIP and cloud communications will certainly keep you dry on a rainy day. It’s wide and expanding via innovation, with providers vying to create best-in-breed, unique, user-friendly and engaging experiences. So when it comes to enterprise communication and collaboration, the game has changed quite a bit in just the last few years.

This week, Broadsoft announced that its UC-One application made the Constellation ShortList for enterprise group messaging solutions for Q3 2017. The “ShortList” is comprised of pioneers, industry leaders and influential firms in the evolution of enterprise communication and collaboration.

"We are pleased that the UC-One application has been identified by Constellation as a leader in the enterprise messaging industry yet again," said Taher Behbehani, chief digital and marketing officer, BroadSoft (News - Alert). "As the future of work continues to advance, we believe that our BroadSoft Business portfolio of cloud communications and team collaboration solutions will continue to unlock greater productivity for our customers as their employees connect, communicate and collaborate across channels."

Constellation offers an industry benchmark, with products and service named to the “ShortList” meeting rigorous criteria. Constellation compiles criteria via client inquiries, partner conversations, customer references, vendor selection projects, market share and internal research.  And as the market evolves, so too does the criteria, ensuring it stays on the tip of the spear in the world of communications applications.

The Broadsoft Business portfolio is quite robust, with UC-One being an application that provides cloud-based mobile communications. Regardless of device, users can take advantage of its rich functionality. This includes messaging and presence; phone services; audio and video conferencing; file sharing, screen sharing, virtual meetings and more.

"The right timing, teams and technology are the three Ts for crafting digital business models to achieve digital transformation success," said R "Ray" Wang, chairman and founder at Constellation Research. "Each Constellation ShortList, researched and curated by our analysts, guides early adopters in identifying the right technologies to build successful and competitive programs."

Enterprise communications are moving in a distinctly mobile direction. With cloud innovation powering the way, the next generation of communications applications should serve the enterprise well.
