Welcome back to the week in review, where we take a look at all the top stories making headlines in Unified Communications this week.

The week started off with the news that 8x8 has announced its new 8x8 Virtual Office Mobile Solution, which empowers the workforce with access to communication and collaboration tools regardless of location. As TMC’s Maurice Nagle points out, “In deploying 8x8 Virtual Office, users gain access to feature-rich robust experience including: easy access to personal and business contacts; instant messaging and presence; a new and improved user interface; support for Apple iOS CallKit; HD VoIP over 3G/4G/LTE/Wi-Fi; and 8x8 Virtual Office Meetings with chat, screen sharing, audio and video capabilities.” You can continue reading HERE.

Next up, Applied Voice & Speech Technologies (AVST) announced a new partnership with collab9 to deploy and develop secure cloud-based unified communications that meet government requirements. The pairing brings together AVST’s CX-E with collab9’s hosted UC solutions. Everything you need to know is HERE.

Meanwhile, 888VoIP did some partnering up of its own by signing a distribution agreement with Sennheiser. The agreement authorizes 888VoIP to distribute Sennheiser’s office-based products and contact center solutions. This includes headsets and speakerphones for UC, making 888VoIP a one-stop shop for all things VoIP. Find out more HERE.

Finally, the week rounded out with the news that Sonus has unveiled its new Sonus Advantage, a bundled unified communications solution, which will make deployment easier, faster and ensure security. The transition from TDM to IP-based communications can be daunting, but with the recent Sonus creation there is no need to fret. Nagle has everything you need to know HERE.
