8x8 Augments Presence with Ingram Micro Partnership

While the cloud was once a murky proposition, today it continues its steady ascent to ubiquity. From IT and the data center, to the c-suite and contact center the benefits are plenty. A vital component of this movement is partnerships, serving to expand footprints and accessibility to this burgeoning technology.

This week, 8x8 announced a new partnership with Ingram Micro, where the 8x8 Virtual Office and 8x8 Virtual Contact Center are now part of the Ingram Micro unified communications and cloud portfolio.  

“Ingram Micro is known throughout the industry for being fully dedicated to providing solutions, services and support offerings that exceed the expectations of its channel partners,” said Christopher Peters, global channel chief at 8x8. “Whether or not Ingram Micro channel partners have sold cloud communications, collaboration and contact center solutions in the past, our combined channel resources and go-to-market methodology will enable them to easily gain access into a hyper-growth market and to accelerate profitability with 8x8 solutions at minimal risk.”

Per recent research from IDC, the cloud/hosted component of the unified communications market is forecast to surpass $32 billion by 2021, placing a CAGR of nearly 15 percent from 2016-2021. This announcement clearly follows the market expectations, and with the addition of 8x8 Ingram Micro adds a major cloud communications player and furthers global strategy.

The cloud is no passing fad. It is here to stay in a big way. Set to transform operations across the board, the question is no longer if you will be moving to the cloud, but when.
