Unified Communications Week in Review: Axtel, Dispel, CoreDial & Fusion
Welcome back to the week in review, where we take a look at all the top stories making headlines in Unified Communications this week.
The week started off with the news that Axtel has deployed Audiocodes’ Mediant SBC. Michael Guta writes, “Axtel is an information and communications technology company serving enterprises, governments and residential markets in Mexico. It has a portfolio of services which it delivers through two of its brands and a network infrastructure of more than 40,000 km (24,854.8 mi) of fiber, and over 7,000 square meters (75,347.3 square feet) of data center space.” Due to its size, the company decided to implement a SBC and chose Audiocodes’ offering. Find out why HERE.
Meanwhile, Dispel was named as a ‘Cool Vendor’ by Gartner because it enables the secure use of UC. Dispel specializes in secure collaborative systems and software-defined perimeters. The company offers a comprehensive suite of simple, secure products for all workers at companies of any size seeking to protect intellectual property and material activity; secure networks against monitoring and intrusion; and prevent downtime from attacks such as DDoS and ransomware. Everything you need to know is HERE.
Dispel wasn’t the only company receiving recognition this week, though. CoreDial also made headlines when it was recognized by TMC as a 2017 Unified Communications Product of the Year. In addition, CoreDial was recognized for its vision and leadership, and CEO and Founder Alan Rihm was named a 2017 CRN Channel Chief. Full coverage is HERE.
Finally, to round out the week, the news broke that Fusion (NASDAQ: FSNN) has been added to the Russell Microcap Index. As TMC’s Maurice Nagle points out, “The inclusion means that, for the upcoming year, Fusion earns automatic inclusion into appropriate value style and growth indexes. From an investment standpoint, this is a major coup for the Fusion team, as Russell indexes are readily used tools by investors and investment managers for index funds, as well as benchmarks for active investment strategies.” Find out more about Fusion’s exciting news HERE.
That’s all for this week. Come back next week to read all the latest news in the Unified Communications space.
