The last few months have been eventful ones for Momentum (News - Alert) Telecom and its 500-some channel partners.
The company, which sells business voice and unified communications services as well as SIP trunking, earlier this year announced Chuck Piazza has come aboard as Momentum’s executive vice president of sales and marketing. He previously served as senior vice president of sales for West Unified Communications (News - Alert) Services.
Momentum Telecom also recently integrated its product with Skype for Business, Beth Hildreth, director of marketing at Momentum Telecom, noted during an interview with Technology Marketing Corp. last week in Las Vegas. Momentum Telecom has CRM integrations with Salesforce and others, and integration with the inContact cloud-based contact center solution, she said. Momentum Telecom’s BroadSoft (News - Alert)-based unified communications solution features call center as a service, conferencing and collaboration, instant messaging, presence, voicemail to text, voicemail transcription, and more. And the company offers broadband management for endpoints.
The company expanded its geography and unified communications play in September of 2015 with the acquisition of Alteva Inc., for which it paid $28.7 million. That followed by a year Momentum Telecom’s purchase of Integrated Broadband Services/IBBS (News - Alert), another provider of private label voice services and broadband management solutions.
Momentum Telecom provides retail UC, mostly via the channel, and offers a white-label option for cable companies, CLECs, ILECs, MSPs, and resellers. The company’s channel partners include multiple master agents, and individuals agents and subagents.
The company employs a three-step strategy in working with channel partners, Hildreth explained. That includes providing them with SIP trunking, which she described as a stepping stone to bring channel partners and their customers from on-premises deployments to fully hosted solutions. The SIP trunking service provides Momentum Telecom with the opportunity to align with channel partners and their customers. And then it works to move them to a hosted model.
Momentum Telecom offers channel partners presales support and site surveys, and includes dedicated engineering and on-site installation support. It also provides channel partners with marketing support. That can include entire marketing campaigns, or any piece parts they require, including webinars and more.
