Premier Global Services, Inc. (PGi) is known for providing collaboration software and services to meet the ever-changing unified communications (UC) needs of enterprises. Its broad portfolio of collaboration solutions, which are accessible anywhere, anytime, and on any device, work to drive productivity and teamwork for businesses around the world.
Recently, PGi’s UC portfolio got a boost when the company announced that it will be acquiring Denver-based ReadyTalk (News - Alert). ReadyTalk is a provider of cloud communications services, including everything from audio, Web and video conferencing to self-service and managed webinar solutions.
By taking on ReadyTalk’s extensive list of available UC solutions, PGi will be able to offer even more collaboration software and services to its more than 6,000 small- and mid-sized business customers.
Aside from the obvious—access to new UC solutions—PGi chose to acquire ReadyTalk because of the company’s overall attitude. ReadyTalk did an impressive job of differentiating its brand from the competition, despite the fact that the UC market is full of companies offering “the best solutions around.” ReadyTalk set itself apart by combining intuitive, innovative technology with excellent customer service. By this, I mean that ReadyTalk’s solutions are designed with partners in mind and full white labeling capabilities. As a result, it became known as a company that not only produces collaboration solutions, but also wants to make collaboration as easy as possible, even after the purchase is over.
Additionally, ReadyTalk works to provide end-to-end service and support to telecommunications service providers, which is directly in line with PGi’s desire to leverage carriers as an increasingly important part of its distribution strategy.
“We have admired ReadyTalk for years. They are well known for having great products built by great people with a strong commitment to the success of their customers and partners,” said Ted Schrafft, President and CEO, PGi. “ReadyTalk's focus on mid-market customers and carrier partners aligns perfectly with PGi's strategic and go-to-market priorities for 2017 and beyond. We are excited to welcome ReadyTalk to the growing PGi family later this month.”
It looks like it’s going to be a good year for PGi and ReadyTalk.
