Broadview OfficeSuite Takes Top UC Honors

With the year coming to a close, many are looking back on the year that was and offering up some special accolades to the best products the year could offer. Broadview Networks (News - Alert) is capping off its 2016 nicely with a couple new awards from Best in Biz, including an award for its OfficeSuite UC line of unified communications (UC) tools.

The big winner in the Best of Biz stakes was Broadview's OfficeSuite, which landed a gold award in the Product Line of the Year running. It was far from the only winner, however, as OfficeSuite UC took a bronze in Small or Medium Business Service of the Year. Broadview even had a winner in the App of the Year section, where its MyOfficeSuite took home a bronze.

That's a pretty substantial cross-section of winners, and with good reason; the OfficeSuite lineup offers a fairly complete range of cloud-based services for business users, particularly a good slate of hosted UC services. OfficeSuite UC, for example—generally considered to be Broadview's flagship product—offers a complete set of unified communications as a service (UCaaS) options to over a quarter million users nationwide. Using the cloud for all of its call processing and data storage functions, it can not only provide portable versatility but also top-tier security. With MyOfficeSuite, the whole thing becomes available as a mobile app, providing extra value to an increasingly mobile workforce.

Winning an award is always good news for a product, unless the award is some kind of joke award like the Razzies or the Consumerist's Worst Company in America award. Those aren't awards anyone really wants to win. For all but the most extreme cases, an award win lends extra gravitas and credibility to a product line; it's clearly done better than at least some other products in consideration, and the award win makes its own set of reasons why a product should be used ahead of others in the field. Here, we see not only the ability to improve communications with UC systems, but also the ability to take UC on the road, a point that will be particularly useful for a workforce that's more mobile than ever before.

Value in and out of the office makes the Broadview lineup of UC tools especially valuable, and explains its newest awards well. For those in the market, an award-winning array of tools like Broadview's might make a particularly worthwhile consideration.
