Welcome back to the week in review, where we take a look at all the top stories making headlines in Unified Communications this week.
The week started off with the news that ReadyTalk (News - Alert) has stepped up its game in the UC and cloud spaces by adding hosted voice service to its list of offerings. With ReadyTalk Hosted Voice, businesses can save money and time by moving communications services to the cloud through a single provider point. This allows organizations to have a stronger UC presence, with less management required. Sound too good to be true? Find out all you need to know HERE.
Less management and better UC is great for customers. Another company looking to improve its customer experience this week is 8x8 (News - Alert). The organization has decided to integrate its UCaaS with Salesforce’s SaaS CRM offering in order to offer its customers more benefits in the service department. According to Laura Stotler, several improvements are in the works: “Cartelligent’s entire sales team workflow is now automated thanks to the UCaaS and SaaS (News - Alert) integrations, enabling 30 sales representatives to keep detailed logging, tracking and reporting records to offer improved customer service and, of course, close more sales. An upcoming generation of the 8x8/Salesforce integration will include real-time analytics, providing critical variables like the number of times sales agents interact with customers before converting a lead to sales.”
While ReadyTalk and 8x8 were working to improve their UC offerings this week, Altigen Communications was being recognized for its Microsoft (News - Alert) and UC services. The Silicon Review, an online and print community for business and technology professionals, recently recognized Altigen in its “30 Fastest Growing Microsoft Solution Providers” for the fully managed UC services it provides. You can find out why exactly Altigen earned this recognition HERE.
To round out the week, TMC’s Paula Bernier caught up with GreenfieldTech senior consultant and VP of customer experience Eric Klein to discuss ITEXPO (News - Alert) and his thoughts on important tech trends. In the interview, Klein discusses what elements of UC are most useful at his company, what messaging technologies GreenfieldTech relies on, how AI will affect businesses in the future, and more. You can read the full exchange HERE.
That’s all for this week. Come back next week to read all the latest news in the Unified Communications space.
