Our recent political cycle may not instill the utmost confidence in our political system, but the military falls into a different category, as it is on the frontline fighting for our freedom. Tasked with ensuring our way of life, it is mission critical these brave souls are provided with exceptional tools. Now enter the cloud, which is revolutionizing communications and is highlighted as a growing market according to IDC (News - Alert) Government Insights.
The analysts at IDC expect the market to grow from its mark of $6.7 billion in 2016 to more than $11 billion by 2019. And a firm, well versed in the ways of the cloud, Fusion, is capitalizing on the available opportunity. Today, it not only announced an integrated suite of advanced cloud solutions for federal, state and local governments as well as enterprises working in government sectors, but a major contract in addition.
Russell P. Markman, Fusion's President of Business Services, said, “Fusion has made a significant commitment to developing cloud solutions that exceed the most rigorous quality guarantees, in order to meet the rapidly evolving requirements of the government vertical market. When communications are as mission critical as this military application demanded, the defense contractor recognized that standard, one size fits all products had to be tossed aside in favor of a collaborative engagement to develop an optimal solution.”
Fusion was recently selected by a major defense contractor, where its secured cloud-based suite will provide voice and data services in an active military environment. The military contractor was not named, but it has been working with the United States government for over 100 years, employs more than 100,000 people and noted Fusion’s ability to deliver customized, secure solutions on time and under budget as key reasons for the selection.
Markman continued to explain, “The contractor was also impressed with Fusion's commitment to the same ethical and professional standards as its own in meeting rigorous government requirements while achieving a balance between innovation and performance excellence, professional integrity and cost efficiency. We look forward to supporting the demanding requirements of this global defense and security leader now and well into the future.”
Cloud services are no longer under scrutiny; firms large and small are placing faith in this burgeoning arena with resounding results. It’s only fair if our military contractors receive the best available technology. Faulty communications translate to missions failed, lives lost and utter disaster in a military environment – thanks Fusion for facilitating more than just communications!
