The week kicked off with news from Global Market Insights that the unified communications (UC) market is slated to grow exponentially over the next several years. The market that was worth $34.8 billion in 2015 is expected to reach a whopping $96 billion in overall revenue come 2023. Steve Anderson discusses how other business developments are driving the UC market forwards; he mentions video conferencing and cloud-based tools as some of the systems that are driving the market to success.  You can read the full article for all the details HERE.

TMC’s (News - Alert) Paula Bernier weighed in this week on a topic that many readers may be able to relate to—working on the go. The article discusses the vast number of people who work remotely, whether they stay at home or travel to new sites each week, and the tools that allow them to do so. Working remotely has become easier than ever thanks to the concepts discussed in the article.

Steve Anderson comments on how one of the worst parts about bringing in a new system for business is the capital expense (capex) that’s required to put it in place. In his article, he explains how some of the new cloud-based systems are changing this for the better. Aztec Exchange has recently moved to a new cloud communication system brought out by Solgari, and is already reaping the benefits. To read more about Aztec’s great move, check out the article HERE.

As Susan J. Campbell points out in her article, “How Cloud Computing Can Help Wow Customers,” “There are a lot of promises swirling around the industry at large when it comes to what cloud services can do for the typical business environment.” These promises are great, but how do these services actually deliver on these promises? Susan dives into this question and explores how the cloud can be used to offer customers the best possible experiences, each and every time.

That’s all for this week. Be sure to go to Unified Communication’s homepage to read some of the other articles posted this week, and check back next week for the latest news. Have a great weekend!
