Broadview Adds Support for Polycom VVX Phones

Today's service providers have to deliver a wide range of hardware, software and applications to meet the demands of diverse workgroups. With so many solutions, the only way to accomplish this is by entering into partnership with key companies to complement each other's product line. The announcement by Broadview Networks (News - Alert) it will expand its phone portfolio by adding select Polycom VVX model phones is one way to achieve this.

The Polycom (News - Alert) VVX Business phone models, beginning with the VVX 101 all the way to the VVX 600, have been designed to provide the different voice and video communications requirement of organizations. The VVX phones will give Broadview many options when it comes to features and price points for its customers. 

As a network-based business communications provider, Broadview Networks offers a full suite of managed and professional services with local and long-distance voice and data, premises-based and patented hosted VoIP systems, and cloud-based unified communications and information technology services. It also offers hardware, which makes Polycom's VVX line of phones a likely addition.

Broadview's OfficeSuite along with MyOfficeSuite portal will compliment Polycom's capabilities by making them easier to manage the entire unified communications solution from the cloud. With OfficeSuite, organizations can communicate over the phone, online and via fax, as well as Android (News - Alert) and iPhone apps for mobile access, HD video, web and audio conferencing.

Administrators and users can access the functionalities of all the OfficeSuite products, services and Broadview support through a single dashboard. Updates and changes to the system, can be carried out from a PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone.

The addition of the VVX series of phones gives Broadview more reach to organizations that are already familiar with Polycom products, which according to Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert) leads the SIP phone market in North America. This delivers higher adoption rates, while lowering the learning curve to quickly implement and use the phones for increased productivity.
