MegaPath Launches MegaPath One, Bringing New UC Options to Businesses

The unified communications (UC) front has made a lot of exciting advances over the years, and one of the newest comes from voice and data services provider MegaPath (News - Alert). The company recently released its new MegaPath One service, offering businesses access to an array of services in one single application, and one that can be run on several platforms at once.

MegaPath One provides a complete slate of tools, including Internet protocol (IP) business telephony complete with video calling, as well as conferencing and presence tools as well as instant messaging. All of these are available for not only desktop users in Windows and Mac, but also for mobile users in both iPad and iPhone (News - Alert) as well as many common Android devices, both smartphone and tablet.

Other exciting features include the My Room function, an always-on virtual space that allows for quick, easy conferencing in both video and audio flavors. There's support for Web-based real time communications (WebRTC) and screen sharing for multiple presenters as well as an integration system for business tools like Microsoft Office.

That integration carries on with another key point, as MegaPath also offered up integration with Skype (News - Alert) for Business, allowing those who have already made the move to Skype for Business to get in on MegaPath's Hosted Voice system, a tool found to work quite well for mobile users.

What's great about this is its variety of options. It's offering up an always-on conferencing tool, making it easier than ever to set up conferences, and it's also offering a way to bring Skype for Business users into the fold. That plus an array of other standard tools is making MegaPath One an impressive value for the user; there are simply too many options here for this to not be a good value, and just about anyone will likely be able to find reason to have this on hand. It's demonstrating an impressive value, and for businesses that don't yet have a complete UC presence, this could be the place to start.

MegaPath One is bringing together a lot of great tools separately that makes for a big combination, and a combination that most likely won't want to refuse.
