Welcome back to Unified Communications Headsets’ news in review, where we recap the most important headlines and bulletins that we’ve covered this week. Jabra (News - Alert) made waves with two big headlines – including a U.K. cashback program – followed up by a Tara Seals exclusive. Here are the details:
Jabra will be offering significant rebate options for customers in the U.K. Those who buy Jabra’s headset products between now and December 31 will receive a significant rebate, claimable via an online form from the company’s site. Find the full details in that article, along with writer Steve Anderson’s speculation on why Jabra is making such a bold move in the U.K. market.
Jabra also took center stage with an exclusive TMC interview, conducted during October’s ITEXPO event in Anaheim. Senior Director Product Management Merete Bratsbjerg (News - Alert) sat down with TMC CEO Rich Tehrani to go over two recent developments: Jabra’s foray into collaborative technology, and their Best in Show Award for their newest product launch. Check out that full interview for all the details on Jabra’s continuing success, and be sure to head out to our next ITEXPO (News - Alert) in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida this January.
We ended out the week with an exclusive by Contributing Writer Tara Seals. Seals broke down the effect UC is having on businesses – a frequent topic here at UC Headsets – and then examined the role hardware plays in a company’s shift to mobile UC. With the advent of BYOD practices and shadow IT, mobile UC systems need to learn to play nice with a variety of devices. Check out the article for an extensive and interesting take on the future of mobile UC.
That’s it for the week in review! As always, enjoy your weekend – catch up on all the other news you may have missed, too – and we’ll see you back on Monday for the latest in Unified Communications news.
