For decades industry observers, me included on occasion, have declared, “Next year will be the year of enterprise video conferencing!”  Unfortunately, like the play Waiting for Godot, the question as they years have gone by is, “When will it ever come?”

This has been particularly true for small to medium businesses (SMBs), where having what now needs to be HD quality, easily available and easy-to-use, and affordable video conferencing has been a true waiting game.

Whether it is through capabilities such as Skype (News - Alert), FaceTime and a host of other media services, in our personal and professional lives, the use of video is becoming more and more commonplace. Plus, as the digitally adept younger generations become bigger factors in the workplace, that use is only going to grow. What this means is that having video interaction capability as part of an omnichannel approach to internal and external interactions finally has risen to the level of going from nicety to necessity.  Indeed, the urgency to deploy and employ video in conjunction with a host of unified communications (UC) capabilities is picking up speed.

So, what is an SMB to do to keep pace with the need for interactive video functionality?

The answer to the above question is that your wait for an affordable and high quality solution is over. There are now solutions available that enable SMBs to have the same high quality video capabilities as larger organizations. The necessity is that in the globally connected world where even SMBs are seeking customers everywhere, all businesses regardless of size need to have a state-of-the-art look and feel.

The proof is in the saying that seeing is believing. In fact, you are invited to the insightful webinar, “Essential Tools for the 21st Century Conference Room,” to be held Sept. 18, 2014 at 2 p.m. EDT where Dave Crilley, vice president of marketing for Tely Labs, will be highlighting how SMBs can join what really will be an increasingly video-centric world.

Yes, if you are an SMB you will now be able to leverage the availability of next-generation video appliances that give you all of the functionality, and then some, of legacy room systems and at a fraction of the cost.

The new combination of cloud-based video conferencing and plug-and-play appliances is enabling rich communications and content sharing, helping businesses of any size meet their top goals:

  • Reduce costs
  • Improve productivity
  • Strengthen customer relations
  • Enhance Teamwork

When it comes to internal, ecosystem and customer interactions, SMBs can and should have sophisticated video conferencing to improve operational excellence and the customer experience. The wait is over and the webinar is your place to find out why and have your questions answered as what it would take for your organization to benefit from video communications.
