Vertical Communications (News - Alert), a provider of business unified communications (UC) and business telephony, has announced that it has appointed David Krietzberg as its new chief financial operator in the wake of a merger with Fulton Communications.
"We are delighted to have Dave on our team as CFO, especially given his experience building growth companies in our industry," said Vertical CEO Peter Bailey. "Dave possesses the rare combination of deep industry knowledge, strong financial acuity, outstanding management and leadership skills, as well as extensive experience with strategic merger and financing transactions, all of which make him a great fit for Vertical."
Krietzberg has extensive experience in the telecommunications industry. Prior to working at Vertical, he served as the CFO of systems integrator Fulton Communications before the company merged with Vertical in June. He also served as the senior vice president and chief administration officer at hosted communications provider Crexendo. Krietzberg was also the CFO for both itel U.S. and Inter-Tel (News - Alert) Technologies, as well as the vice president and treasurer of Executone before it merged with Inter-Tel. He received an MBA and BBA from Pace University.
Krietzberg was excited about becoming the company’s new CFO.
"Having closely followed the progress of Vertical over the past several years, I continue to be impressed with the company's growth and ability to execute -- particularly in an increasingly competitive marketplace," he said. "Vertical has all the ingredients for continued success, including an outstanding executive team, dedicated staff, loyal channel partners and a supportive board of directors. I am very proud to join this elite team, and look forward to contributing to the achievement of the company's goals and ongoing success."
He is not the only new member from Fulton joining the company’s board of directors. The company appointed Ben Treadway as the company’s new executive vice president. Treadway will keep his position as CEO of Fulton at the same time.
