Cumulus Solutions Inc. has partnered with audio conferencing services provider TurboBridge to gain Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) contract for various conferencing services.
As a provider of audio conferencing services to companies of every size, TurboBridge provides its clients with hosted, wholesale and retail solutions that eliminate the need for hardware investment, software maintenance and telecommunications upgrades. Its customizable, hosted conferencing platform also facilitates Web, iOS and Android (News - Alert) developers to integrate cloud-based telephony services into their applications.
Cumulus Solutions, which has partnered with TurboBridge, offers software and web based tools for high definition (HD) voice, video, web conferencing and webcasting services.
In April, the state of Texas’ DIR had awarded Cumulus with a contract for voice, video, web conferencing, web casting and video room installation services. So, Cumulus collaborated with TurboBridge to provide the state with audio conferencing services under the Cumulus brand.
Together, TurboBridge and Cumulus will now be providing audio conference calling services to state agencies, universities, cities, counties and public school districts throughout Texas.
With the help of TurboBridge, Cumulus is now able to enroll and manage thousands of new accounts directly, while facilitating individual account administrators to directly control bridges in their organizations.
Through Cumulus and TurboBridge solutions, each conference bridge holder can use a simple web control panel to tailor feature settings, monitor a live call in progress, see the list of participants dialed in, review the detail from recent calls and retrieve conference recordings.
In addition, robust online account management capabilities and automatic, electronic invoicing are built into the TurboBridge system, which will help state agencies, universities, cities, counties and public school districts throughout Texas.
Jerry Edgerton, president and CEO of Cumulus, said in a statement, “With TurboBridge’s efficient and scalable platform, Cumulus is offering eligible organizations in the state of Texas per minute rates for audio conference calls that are significantly below average retail rates. State-affiliated entities that purchase through the Texas DIR contract take full advantage of the purchasing power of the state of Texas.”
Elucidating about TurboBridge’s hosted conferencing platform, Roman Shpount, chief technology officer (CTO) of TurboBridge, said in a statement that the TurboBridge’s platform is not only cost-effective, but also quick and easy to customize too. He emphasized that the platform is field-tested, easy-to-manage and includes all the features necessary for government agencies and enterprises.
