For every business, there must be a way for employees and employers to communicate – that is how ideas are spread and important decisions are made. Unified Communications (News - Alert) systems put all of these solutions together in one place, such as voice, video and instant messenger, which allows corporations to focus less on achieving good communication and more on achieving good business. It has been a busy week in the UC sector, with news of the importance of social media as well as new product releases and partnerships.

The use of social media within our society is overwhelming. From Facebook (News - Alert) to LinkedIn, social media has become a staple to many of us wishing to connect to others in a more efficient way. DeskAlerts, a Web-based solution which allows users to send desktop alerts and news to any employee within an organization, is catching on to this trend and running with it. DeskAlerts has decided to incorporate social media functionality into its messaging system, which can be way more effective than email alone. The company Zultys (News - Alert), which specializes in unified communications platforms, is also revamping its system – except with the release of MXvirtual, a cloud-based UC solution for enterprises and managed service providers. The MXvirtual offering brings Zultys’ all-in-one phone system and unified communications solution to the cloud, which puts its communications solutions all in one place – including instant messenger, mobile integrations, HD video, advanced call routing and more.

ANPI, a provider of hosted communications and carrier solutions, has been widely present in the news for the UC sector this week. ANPI has signed a new partnership agreement with Telecom Consulting Group (TCG) of Florida, which will allow TCG and its nationwide network to sell ANPI VIP, ANPI’s unified communications solution. ANPI was also chosen by Cirrinity, a high capacity fiber services, digital TV, high-speed Internet and phone bundled services company, to expand their portfolio. ANPI’s UC solution allows Cirrinity to deliver a unified communications suite to their business and enterprise customers.

It has been an eventful week in the world of Unified Communications, as UC solutions continuously evolve to meet the needs of consumers. Check back next week for all the latest in Unified Communications solutions!
