ANPI Adds Fax Functionality to Its Hosted UC Solution

As businesses slowly make the transition to an all IP communications infrastructure, the door is opening for even more convergence under unified communication (UC) platforms.  Indeed, even services like Fax over IP are joining the ranks of UC-supported solutions. 

Case in point, ANPI, a provider of hosted communications and carrier solutions, has just announced the addition of full fax functionality to its ANPI VIP hosted unified communications solution.  Designed to work seamlessly with its UC platform, the company explained, the ANPI fax solution offers unlimited faxing of an unlimited number of pages to anywhere in the U.S. Moreover, the solution can be deployed as a cloud-based service or as a fax line connected to a fax machine.

The first model, known as ANPI Hosted Fax, removes the need for hardware installation and maintenance, allowing users to send and receive digital faxes through the cloud using their private ANPI account.  Users can leverage the ANPI VIP Customer Administration Portal to access and manage all stored faxes, which can be sent directly to email if desired.

The second deployment option, ANPI Fax Line, uses a Smart ATA device to allow UC-enabled faxing though a traditional, on-premises fax machine.

The company points out that no matter which method a company chooses, fax numbers can be transferred or ported at no cost.
