Plantronics (News - Alert) has announced the launch of the next generation of its best-selling wireless stereo earbuds for the always-connected consumer.

Known as the BackBeat GO 2, the newly released earbuds enable users to easily switch between listening to music, watching videos, and talking on phone.

Plantronics’ claims these earbuds deliver world class versatility and connectivity for users. The BackBeat GO 2 leverages Bluetooth to quickly connect to tablets, music players and smartphones.

“Because our lives are a blend of personal and professional engagements that span the entire day, Plantronics recognizes that headsets need to be as versatile as we are – ready to dip in and out of media consumption, phone conversations, and conference calls,” said Greg Miller, senior category manager of stereo solutions at Plantronics.

The BackBeat GO 2 can be used by people who are commuting to work, or living an active lifestyle. Few features that stand out in these earbuds are natural mid tones, crisp highs and high quality audio with rich bass.

The compact and lightweight wireless stereo earbuds are designed to provide users with extended listen and talk times. A DeepSleep hibernation mode helps preserve battery life for the product.

Plantronics is offering the BackBeat Go 2 in a very sleek, durable and compact charging and storage case.

“The BackBeat GO 2 allows users to easily transition through their busy day without skipping a beat, losing their charge, or getting tangled in cords. It’s the indispensable companion for the always-on, connected professional and media enthusiast,” added Miller.

Plantronics BackBeat GO 2 includes high fidelity audio, fully charged portable case, sweat proof coating with P2i moisture protection technology, voice prompts to alert the user about charge remaining, and extended listen time.

Plantronics specializes in audio communications for businesses and consumers. The company was in news earlier this year for launching Voyager Legend CS as part of its Voyager headset line.
