Unify, formerly known as Siemens (News - Alert) Enterprise Communications, a provider of communications software and services, stated that its newly released OpenScape 4000 v7.0 is loaded with advanced features like One Number service, increased security and improved UC integration.

According to Unify, the OpenScape 4000 is the convergent IP communication platform for companies with 300 to 100,000 employees and offers business process and workflow integration, high availability, security paired with powerful performance and cost-effective unified communications choices for any business.

The OpenScape 4000 has been already deployed at over 25,000 customer installations in over 80 countries and the latest version should enable customers to realize a clear path to Unify’s Project Ansible.

Eve Aretakis, executive vice president and head of products at Unify, said, “Millions of users count on OpenScape technology every day, and the enhancements we are announcing will further enable those anywhere workers to better connect and collaborate, while providing companies with enhanced security and technology to drive down costs. We are committed to helping all of our customers take full advantage of communications technology that improves business performance and enables the new way to work.  The enhancements in this latest version of OpenScape 4000 underscore that goal.”

The One Number Service (ONS) feature built into the latest version enables anywhere workers to stay connected always. The OpenScape Cordless Enterprise supposedly improves security and brings down the threat of eavesdropping, by providing a new encryption key every minute, for all calls.

OpenScape 4000 is stated to be a powerful and highly available communications solution that also offers a rich set of endpoints, mobility choices, edge solutions, unified communications and standards-based integration and interoperability with business-critical applications and system.

With OpenScape 4000, users will also be able easily enhance inter- and intra-enterprise communications as well as team collaboration, which would ensure that they spent more time on doing a work instead of just orchestrating it.

The company added that the OpenScape 4000 is available now, directly from Unify and from its global network of partners.
