Qumu Placed as Leader in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Video Content Management

October 03, 2013

Qumu, a business video platform provider, asserted that it has been placed as ‘leader’ in the first Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Video Content Management.

The Gartner report was compiled after studying twelve providers with enterprise video capability and scale and every company was evaluated based on their completeness of vision and ability to execute in order to help enterprise video platform buyers select an appropriate provider for their needs.

Gartner explained that users can look into the Magic Quadrants as a first step to understanding the technology providers they might consider for a specific investment opportunity. Companies that are placed as Leaders are those who execute well against their current vision and are well positioned for tomorrow.

Vern Hanzlik, senior vice president and general manager of Qumu, remarked, “We are honored to be recognized as a Leader by Gartner. We believe Qumu’s position in the Magic Quadrant is a testament to our ability to provide continuous innovation and expand value-added services for enterprises looking to take full advantage of enterprise video communications.”

Qumu exclaimed that it offers the Qumu Video Control Center, a single video platform for capturing video from any source, automating secure streaming and downloading, simplifying its management, and maintaining its complete control – from distribution to consumption. The solution does more than just manage and distribute business video. It streamlines the processes and supposedly employs powerful technology that encourages communication and collaboration via video so that companies are able to realize higher productivity.

By merging flexibility and increased functionality, Qumu stated that it was able to establish a solid foundation to deliver enterprise video solutions to those looking for a versatile and powerful video platform for communication and collaboration among dispersed teams.

Recently, Gartner positioned Xactly in the Leaders quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for Sales Performance Management and Forrester labeled Qumu as leader in video platforms for the enterprise.
