Alpheus Communications (News - Alert) has entered into a partnership with Telesphere to announce a network-to-network interface (NNI). This partnership allows Telesphere to improve the quality of services such as delivery of voice, data and video.
One of the major reasons for Telesphere (News - Alert) selecting Alpheus was a latter’s high quality network throughout Texas. According to this partnership, Telesphere gains access to Alpheus' fiber network which has its presence in more than 94,000 Ethernet-qualified locations. Since Telesphere offers services to a number of companies in the country, this is a very useful service for the company.
Companies all over the world are increasingly making use of ethernet services for mission-critical applications and the partnership between Telesphere and NNI is an example of this trend. Also, Texas shows a lot of promise of business development and that’s one of the reason Telesphere selected this region for an infrastructure investment.
Along with its vast network, Alpheus Communications also offers technicians round the clock to ensure that its operations run smoothly. The company also makes use of advanced network management systems to view availability and performance of customer services.
“We're pleased to partner with Telesphere and help them quickly broaden access to Texas with our high-quality network and the numerous data centers and central offices that offer a very robust and diverse network footprint," said Alpheus CEO Scott Widham. "Alpheus offers the ideal platform for businesses looking to switch to Ethernet for higher speeds, greater reliability and cost-effective bandwidth. We believe that the migration from TDM to Ethernet is an emerging trend, one that is poised for explosive growth in the months ahead.”
Recently, CyrusOne selected Alpheus Communications to provide best-in-class connections to its National Internet Exchange customers in its Texas data centers. This partnership will ensure the availability of fiber network services in three CyrusOne (News - Alert) data centers.
