ShoreTel UC Solutions Improve Efficiency at Law Firms

ShoreTel, a provider of business phone systems and unified communications solutions, is empowering law firms with UC offerings and integrated legal applications to gain competitive edge and ensure they exceed customer expectations.

For example, ShoreTel LexisNexis Time Matters Integration Application provides automated access to client records and allows the creation of phone records based on phone number matches, embedded ‘click to call’ support and more.

The ShoreTel Cost Recovery Integration Application combines the ShoreTel VoIP phone system with legal and professional services accounting software, such as Equitrac and Copitrak, to deliver convenient and accurate telephone time tracking and billing.

ShoreTel recently unveiled the ShoreTel 400 series IP phones, consisting of four fresh IP phone models. The latest series comes with improved functionality and also features visual voicemail, a highly-developed user interface and embedded diagnostics.

Brownlee in Canada, one of ShoreTel’s customers in Canada, said ShoreTel Communicator has helped it improve productivity of lawyers and staff by simplifying processes like searching for contacts, making calls, extension dialing, exporting voice messages for transcription, transferring calls and allowing employees to customize their own phone settings.

Customers are attracted to ShoreTel system because of the simplicity of the architecture and ease of implementation.

“We were almost tripping over ourselves with the speed at which it got implemented,” said Jason Wild, operations director of Bell Gully in New Zealand.

Another customer, Dow Lohnes, chose ShoreTel because of its N+1 redundancy model, which provides the uptime guarantee that is critical to a law firm, without the cap- and op-ex expenditures associated to the competitions' mirrored-system approaches. The solution has already added to attorneys’ productivity and their service of the clients.

ShoreTel also supports other foreign legal firms like Stephens Scown (U.K.) and a number of U.S. law firms like Burr & Forman, Holland & Hart, Jackson Lewis, Jackson Walker, Luce Forward, Stevens & Lee, and Sullivan & Worcester.

ShoreTel is showcasing its solutions at the International Lawyers Technology Association (ILTA), today through August 22 at Caesars Palace Hotel in Las Vegas. ShoreTel Sky, the company's hosted VoIP and cloud unified communications service, will also be on display at booth #702 at ITEXPO in Las Vegas August 26-29.
