Whaleback Managed Services, specializing in managed unified communications services, unveiled the CrystalBlue Mobile (CB Mobile) and CrystalBlue Desktop (CB Desktop) softphone applications. These will provide the capabilities of CrystalBlue unified communications to smartphones, tablets, and desktops.
The company delivers cloud-based managed unified communications services for small and medium enterprises. Its end-to-end, business-class voice services enhance productivity cost effectively owing to its flexible, feature-rich VoIP calling packages, proactive, centralized monitoring and management and customer service.
Roger Walton, Whaleback’s chief product officer said, “For many of our customers, mobility is among the most critical of their business communications needs. With CB Mobile, executives, salespeople, support staff and remote workers can place and receive calls wherever they are with all of the convenience of being integrated with the company's phone system.”
According to officials, the new softphones will be fully integrated into Whaleback’s CrystalBlue unified communications service which will in turn create a seamless unified communications mobile experience. Users will benefit a lot from the unified communications capabilities delivered on mobile devices.
CB Mobile has been launched for iPhone (News - Alert), iPad and Android based smart phones. CB Desktop will be suitable for Windows and Mac OSX. The functionality provided by these solutions matches that of an office phone working on a Wi-Fi network, a LAN connection or on a cellular data service.
The uses of these solutions are many. Users can travel freely as they make and receive calls as though they were in the office via CB Mobile. Users can make business calls and without revealing their private cell phone numbers. Also phones can operate on Wi-Fi in case in-building cell service is poor. Calls can be made by users over Wi-Fi at home, hotels or hotspots.
