When selecting the ideal unified communications platform to meet your individual business needs, there are many things to look for. Some of these capabilities include obvious ones like flexibility, scalability and cost-effectiveness but others are much less visible such as the way in which this robust technology can assist those in decision making roles to adjust the processes that lead to tasks being completed.

UC specialist Teo recently outlined in a blog post findings from UC Strategies that highlight “many companies might be taking an inefficient approach to communications, specifically regarding the comprehension and cohesion of strategies. While implementation of the various technologies is a crucial component of efficiency, the overall management and strategies surrounding internal communications need to be streamlined for an optimal environment.”

So how can you ensure that you are seeing the best results possible from this intuitive platform? First, make sure that all employees are aware and understand how to use all of its key functions to improve customer interactions in addition to efficiency. A lot of features are great but if no one comprehends how to use them, what is the point?

Next, implement a very structured strategy that enables global workforces to remain on the same page and leverage important tools including VoIP, audio/ video conferencing, instant messaging, and intelligent presence from one dashboard.

Unveiled late last year, Teo’s Next Gen mobility suite encompasses voice, HD video, unified presence, and instant messaging, allowing user’s on-the-go to access the suite via iPhone (News - Alert) and Android smartphones as well as iPads.

In a time in history in which businesses need to do more with a limited budget, the unified communications offering is enabling these companies to fully optimize an array of devices from anywhere with an Internet connection and at any time. This can streamline operations overall.

“As more businesses recognize the opportunities to enhance productivity by fully empowering mobile workers, investing in a truly unified communications system will continue to be a key component of their business strategy,” said Thomas Beck, director of Marketing and Business Development at Teo, in a statement. “By supporting the broadest choice of mobile devices for our innovative UC platform, we are opening up yet another avenue for businesses to gain easy access to cost-efficient and advanced technology capabilities. Simplifying and unifying the way they work will help pave their path to success.”
