Singleware Software is giving its InformaCast a boost, bundling it with Cisco (News - Alert) solutions to improve its paging and emergency notifications. The new InformaCast Basic Paging includes the latest edition of the Cisco Unified Communications (News - Alert) Manager (CUCM) 9.1 and Cisco Business Edition 6000, with availability for all Cisco CUCM customers with version 8.5 or above.

With InformaCast Basic Paging, customers receive phone-to-phone live audio paging. All CUCM users can send out messages to up to50 Cisco IP phones at once, so users can configure the solution to send audio announcements to one or many phones for no charge.

If, however, they require a more advanced version, the InformaCast Advanced Notification includes an emergency notification solution. It can send text, live voice, or pre-recorded audio messages to an unlimited number of phones, IP speakers, overhead paging systems, and more. It can also be used to automatically send weather alerts, monitor emergency calls, set up and start emergency conference calls with managers, and trigger notifications with other systems in the network. This provides Cisco CUCM customers with an emergency notification platform easily set up and used from their existing environment.

"Cisco CUCM users will immediately realize the benefit of a basic paging solution now included with their Cisco IP phone system," says Ken Bywaters, executive VP for product development at Singlewire Software. "When emergency notification is needed, the advanced features of InformaCast can be unlocked and implemented in a matter of minutes."

These are two great options for companies, providing improved communication and emergency notifications that can make a big difference to an organization. The Basic Paging is a great tool for sending messages to small or large groups quickly, while the Advanced Notification will ensure that no one is left unaware when there’s trouble. Either or both will make a great addition to a Cisco environment.
