January 08, 2013

GENBAND has recently announced a new step forward in providing mobility services and offerings in the United Kingdom. By teaming up with Timico, it can help provide its expansive capabilities and services to a mobile work environment with an end-to-end solution that provides UC and supports SIP trunking.

As Timico has selected GENBAND’s UC solution, its customers in the U.K. can expect new mobility services and offerings, as well as an end-to-end enhancement to all of its business offerings.

The GENBAND UC solution has fully integrated multimedia applications for voice, video, conferencing and more, providing an all-mobile corporate phone system for businesses of all sizes.

Workers on the go will appreciate the UC solution from GENBAND, as they can use their mobile device with the same features, calling ID, dial plan, etc. as their office phone. The intelligent interconnect solution is powered by GENBAND’s Session Border Controller, providing a simple network edge with securely managed, routed and controlled voice and multimedia sessions over real time.

According to B.G. Kumar, president of GENBAND’s Multimedia Business Unit, “Today, employees use their company-provided mobile phone as a primary communications device for conducting business, and with GENBAND’s Unified Communications solution they turn their car, coffee house or mobile hotspot into a virtual office. This extension of our relationship demonstrates Timico’s commitment to mobile innovation, and we are pleased to provide them with a leading set of enterprise telephony, Unified Communications, IP interconnect and SIP Trunking capabilities through the deployment of GENBAND’s Applications and SBC solutions.”
