Annese Inks Deal with EC3, Boosts UC Offering

December 27, 2012

Annese & Associates, Inc., a provider of integrated communications systems customized for commercial business, manufacturing, financial, healthcare, education, and government sector clients across New York State and New England, is augmenting its UC offerings. The company signed a partnership deal with EC3, a cloud-based unified communications solutions provider and Cisco (News - Alert) distributor.

This deal is aimed at offering a hosted UC alternative to its traditional offering. It is a strategic move for Annese. Annese is shifting its business model to focus on positioning managed, cloud, and hosted services around its Collaboration and Data Center Virtualization solutions.

Today, companies no longer own and maintain their own workplace communications equipment. The advent of managed services allows business owners to offload the investment and responsibility to a trusted partner and benefit from increased efficiency and reduced operational and capital costs.

EC3’s Synergy (News - Alert) solution is a cloud based platform encompassing a full suite of hosted voice, video, messaging, and collaboration solutions and services developed exclusively for IT Resellers, VAR’s, Integrators, and Managed Service Providers.

“Whether we are able to develop these managed offerings internally or partner out, we will make the necessary investments to ensure best-in-breed solutions for our customers,” Jamie Aiello, vice president of Services at Annese said in a statement.

Annese believes that with the addition of EC3’s Synergy solution will help the company to get strongly positioned to offer a comprehensive hosted UC solution to any market.

Annese & Associates Inc. recently relocated its headquarters from the upstate New York town of Herkimer to a new office in the Capital Region to be closer to the center of state government. The company also recently achieved the Advanced Data Center Architecture specialization from Cisco. This specialization recognizes Annese as having fulfilled the training requirements and program prerequisites to sell, design, and deploy comprehensive Cisco Data Center solutions.
