Citrix Podio Use Reaches 200,000 Mark

December 14, 2012

The days of waking up in the morning and going to the office for work are becoming as outdated as the land line phone itself. This is the age of connectivity, and people are constantly connected. The new communication devices allow employees to collaborate with each other and work from wherever they want.

Podio is one such platform that enables employees to work from anywhere they want. It is an online work platform that allows users to manage their work in their own way. With this, users can form their own network, they just need an e-mail address, and of course, permission from the network administrators.

This concept from Podio is finding many takers, as the company recently announced reaching more than 200,000 users all over the world. The company has also announced reaching more than 700,000 Podio workspaces and installing 2.6 million Podio apps.

“The social business industry is at an important inflection point, as organizations are now moving beyond just sharing and transparency, and are adopting a more mature focus on getting real work done,” said Alan Lepofsky, vice president and principal analyst at Constellation Research.

“Citrix Podio’s approach is to provide customers a platform on which they can improve core business processes by adding integrated collaboration elements, enabling them to realize the business value that social software can really provide.”

Recently, the company announced additions to its GoToMyPC remote access and GoToAssist remote support portfolio with apps created for Samsung’s new generation of Android (News - Alert) mobile devices. These devices are aimed at enhancing user productivity. The new GoToMyPC app is optimized to work with the Samsung GALAXY Note II with S Pen for easy and secure access to any computer on the go and is recommended as an “S Suggest” App by Samsung (News - Alert).
