BroadSoft and Leonid Systems Help Telecom Service Providers Scale Hosted UC Services
BroadSoft (News - Alert) has expanded its partnership with Leonid Systems, a company that makes cloud communications more salable and scalable with modular software for provisioning, end-user device and service management and integrated lead-to-cash customer life cycle management. The partnership will include the global distribution of Leonid’s Loki Portals and Loki Provisioning software, and the two companies will work closely to help global telecommunications service providers scale their hosted unified communications services.
The combination of BroadSoft's Unified Communications (News - Alert) services and Loki Portals and Provisioning allows service providers to quickly implement a best-of-breed solution that shortens time-to-market for new service offerings, while reducing support costs and improving customer satisfaction.
Loki is an element provisioning platform designed for communications service providers that offers both a native Web interface and a Web services API to interface to existing BSS/OSS and CRM systems. If you’re provisioning your subsystems manually, you can start using Loki to automate the process literally in less than a full working day.
Alex Cowan, chief technology officer at Leonid, said in a statement, "The soaring demand for cloud communications services has highlighted the need for more scalable and flexible support systems to complement BroadSoft's industry leading product suite. We are excited to work with BroadSoft to deliver a modular, extensible solution that meets the current need, while providing the framework for ongoing integration of new cloud services."
Already deployed by more than 55 BroadSoft customers, the Loki suite is one of the most widely used BSS/OSS solutions for service providers to manage and accelerate the growth of Hosted PBX (News - Alert), SIP Trunking and other cloud communications services. As demand for cloud-based unified communications increases, so does the need to efficiently activate and manage these services. At less than 1/10th the cost of traditional OSS systems and taking only six hours to bring online, Loki is a great way to accelerate your VoIP deployment.
At the same time, service providers have recognized the importance of customer experience management, which demands a simple, intuitive user experience that empowers their customers to control advanced services from any enterprise device. Loki Portals delivers this in two ways: a customer-ready user experience that includes visual device management and other next-generation usability features, and a framework to more quickly and reliably customize and maintain the user interface. This capability is seen as increasingly important as enterprises move toward more diverse sets of mobile communication devices and other cloud services converge.
"We are dedicated to providing solutions that meet the varied and unique needs of our global service provider customers. Leonid's capabilities have strengthened the successful deployment of hosted unified communications services by many of our customers, and we believe the Loki suite can help accelerate service adoption and ensure the efficient service delivery,” said Scott Hoffpauir, chief technology officer, BroadSoft.
It’s no longer about if or when, but about gaining revenue and market share now, as enterprises begin mass migrations to new cloud services from a wide array of new vendors, blurring once well-established lines between vendors and services. The session, “88 Lines About 44 Clouds,” will uncover responses to top questions from service providers, such as what products and services are most in demand, what sales approaches are working and what the current “in the trenches” are, helping companies nail down proven revenue streams.
