Belron Signs Three-Year Contract with Easynet Global to Enhance UC Solutions for Business Clients

Belron revealed that it just signed a three-year deal with Easynet Global Services worth $7 million.

The agreement puts Easynet in charge of creating a new MPLS network across multiple countries to improve unified communications and business application performance – all while enabling a new cloud solution throughout its corporate network.


Belron is the world’s largest vehicle glass repair and replacement company. Its operations span over 30 countries and is home to over 25,000 employees. According to the company’s website, 9,600 windscreens are repaired each day on average, and 121,000 mobile jobs are completed each week. This means the company completes a job every three seconds.

Belron continues to expand and said it has doubled its workload in the past five years. Due to the enormity of the services, monitoring solutions are key to its success.

Mike Parkington, IT vendor and procurement manager for Belron, said that because the work they do is so massive, they need a failsafe IT strategy. “For us, the network is the driving force for our business. Each day we send out thousands of mobile technicians,” he said. “The technicians need to know where to go, to whom they’re speaking, what glass to use, how to bill customers and to record each job once complete. They are supported by hundreds of back office staff with totally different communication needs.”

“Secure and monitored applications, systems and processes, and the ability to take advantage of cloud computing are at the core of our business,” added Parkington, “and Easynet has proved the perfect partner.”

Easynet’s mission is to “deliver a competitive edge to our customers, as judged and measured by them, through the provision of professionally managed services with a leading value proposition.”

The organization provides a host of products to help businesses achieve their goals. Some of these services include managed networking solutions, hosting partnerships, video conferencing, voice IP-based solution, managed firewall, professional services, and a content management solution.

The 18-year-old company has over 900 employees working in 18 offices throughout the world and made over $200 million in revenue last year alone.

Justin Fielder, Easynet’s CTO, added that companies like Belron will really be able to benefit from integrating one of its products. “As a customer-focused global organization shipping vast amounts of data every second, an efficient, monitored network is the mainstay of the Belron business.
