iCore Networks' Solution Selected by HealthCare Access Maryland

July 06, 2012

iCore Networks, a provider of hosted unified communications and cloud applications services, recently announced that HealthCare Access Maryland will deploy the company’s internet telephony solution. With cutting-edge features, the new solution will help HealthCare Access Maryland manage its unified communications activities.

HealthCare Access Maryland will also use iCore’s Web portal, which is a web-based tool that allows telephones and computers to work together. iCore’s Web Portal uses the computer to manage clients’ phone so that things like routing calls, scheduling conferences, dialing from personal directories and much more are just a mouse click or two away. All information is stored on the network, not in the phone, and can be accessed from virtually anywhere. Moreover, the user can also access personal directories, call logs and other capabilities from any phone on the network

“Our mission is to advocate on the behalf of Baltimore’s underserved, educate the public and link residents to care," said Rodney Matthews, director of support services, HealthCare Access Maryland. “We were using a traditional PBX solution, which did not have any advanced features. The system was slow and we had to pay for licenses and smartnet services every year. We needed a more reliable, cost-effective way to communicate with our team and the community.”

“We’re excited and honored to have this opportunity to deploy a tech-driven telecom system that will support the HealthCare Access Maryland in its mission to provide the underserved with vital healthcare and community resources,” said iCore CEO and chairman, Stephen G. Canton. “We are committed to delivering innovative features that help our clients succeed and maximize their business opportunities."

In related news, iCore Networks recently announced that its VoPI service has helped McKissack and McKissack improve its performance greatly. The client, an architecture, engineering and construction management firm in Washington D.C., was able to enhance business performance and manage major construction projects by enabling optimum communications between traveling team members.
