Craig Eidem Joins Fellow Speakeasy Alum Bruce Chatterley at Broadvox
Craig Eidem, a technology industry veteran with over 25 years of experience in the business, has just accepted a position as CTO of Broadvox. Broadvox has provided hosted UC, SIP Trunking and VoIP for a variety of customers since its inception in 2001.
“I am excited to join the Broadvox management team at this point in its history,” said Eidem. “Broadvox has a solid IP platform and skilled employees who have been in the business for over twenty years. I will build on this strength as Broadvox expands its services and reach.”
Broadvox has seen multiple changes to its management team within the past two months. Current CEO Bruce Chatterley has only been with the company since March. Still, Chatterley expressed enthusiasm about what Eidem will bring to the company as CTO.
“Craig’s experience in scaling a technology organization in a high customer growth environment will be important as we execute our growth plans,” said Broadvox CEO Bruce Chatterley. “Craig also brings a strong technological and operational expertise, and we are pleased to have him as part of our management team.”
When Eidem served as CTO of Speakeasy, he was responsible for running a nationwide network as well as for building a BroadSoft business VoIP platform. Under Eidem’s leadership, the platform ran at 99.9 percent availability.
Most recently, Eidem worked as the head of Information Technology for Meteorcom, which is a joint venture put together by railroad companies in an effort to control rail traffic via a national wireless network. Eidem’s other roles included leadership positions with Honeywell, Advanced Radio Telecom, AT&T Wireless, Sunstrand and Telematic Products.
For Chatterley, Craig Eidem is a known quantity. The current Broadvox CEO also served as CEO of Speakeasy before taking the reins at Broadvox. Chatterley served as Speakeasy CEO until Best Buy acquired the company in 2007.
Chatterley and Eidem take leadership positions at Broadvox at a time when the company reports annual sales of over $100 million. Broadvox also ranks as a Top Ten VoIP and Hosted Communications provider according to ABI Research.
