ShoreTel Announces Key Appointments in Senior Management

ShoreTel (News - Alert), a provider of cloud-based business phone system and communications solutions, announced the appointment of new leaders to its senior management.

Joe Vitalone has been selected as Vice President, Channel Management and Timothy C. Gaines was appointed as Vice President of North America Sales. Mark Arman joined ShoreTel as Vice President of International Sales and Worldwide Distribution.

Vitalone rejoins ShoreTel from LifeSize (News - Alert). He brings over 25 years of sales and business development experience in technology and telecommunications to ShoreTel. Prior to joining LifeSize, Vitalone was a company officer and vice president for North America sales for ShoreTel.

In his new role, Vitalone will be responsible for strengthening channel revenues and advocating for the channel.

Gaines, appointed as Vice President of North America Sales, has been with ShoreTel since 2007. Gaines will now oversee North American sales for all on-premise solutions including unified communications (UC), contact center and mobility. Gaines has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry especially in VoIP space.

Mark Arman, the new Vice President of International Sales and Worldwide Distribution, joined ShoreTel in November 2006. From 2006 to 2012, Arman was engaged in leading ShoreTel’s business development efforts, including strategic planning, merger and acquisition and global channel processes. Before joining ShoreTel, Arman was founding CEO of WindSpring and prior to that the CEO of Conferserv.

Recently ShoreTel announced the release of M5 Communicator, part of the M5 Unified Communications (News - Alert) Suite in ShoreTel's cloud division and free to all existing M5 clients.

In addition to offering instant messaging across the enterprise, peer-to-peer video chat, file transfer, and screen-sharing capabilities, Communicator's Presence feature lets users see when their colleagues are on the telephone.
