Black Box (News - Alert) Network Services, a well known communications system integrator dedicated to designing, sourcing, implementing and maintaining today’s complex communications solutions, has announced that it has joined the GENBAND Partner Advantage Program.
The Black Box Network officials confirmed that they have earned Platinum Membership, which is the highest level a company can attain. The new partnership will enable Black Box to take benefit of GENBAND’s nearly 250 million carrier-proven IP communications lines deployed globally.
In addition, this new partnership will cater businesses to have a smooth transition from large-scale enterprise networks to Unified Communications (UC) applications while maximizing existing infrastructure, including seamless integration with legacy PBX (News - Alert) systems and support of analog, digital, UNISTIM and SIP-based phones.
Michael Laughlin, vice president of Shared Services for Black Box said that they are excited to support GENBAND’s expansion into the large enterprise market which meets an immediate market demand for a logical evolution of enterprise communications networks to UC.
“GENBAND fills a marketplace void with its comprehensive UC applications infrastructure while simultaneously offering unprecedented interoperability with existing systems and delivering a device-agnostic platform that can significantly reduce OPEX (News - Alert) and CAPEX expenses for customers without sacrificing feature rich functionality,” Laughlin added.
In a nutshell, GENBAND’s UC solutions provide a means of keeping up on the business end of things with seamless integration of communications and productivity software between desktop and mobile devices alike. Key features include VoIP, video chat, federated or secure instant messaging and desktop sharing – everything one would need to “take the office” with them on the go.
Also, the A2 Communications Application Server, S3 Intelligent Session Border Controller, G6 Universal Gateway (News - Alert), C20 Converged Softswitch and GENBAND A2 Mobile Office power this new enterprise network. With Mobile Office, Enterprise workers can use their mobile gadgets to connect with many of the same applications just as they would on their desktop.
“Black Box is well recognized for its long history serving the enterprise market, and this partnership represents a significant milestone for GENBAND’s Enterprise Solutions business,” said Mark Pugerude (News - Alert), president of Global Sales and Business Development for GENBAND.
In addition, Black Box customers can get access to the GENBAND A2 Mobile Office suite and GENFuzion Developer Community that meets highly specialized vertical market needs.
