It's a big day for the crew at Broadvox (News - Alert), as they've just announced they'll be adding a new CEO to their ranks. And if readers recognize the name Bruce Chatterley, they’ll know that Broadvox has some serious plans indeed.

Our own CEO Rich Tehrani (News - Alert) conducted an email interview with Broadvox's newest hire, and that in turn provided plenty of insight as to the future of Broadvox, which now looks very bright as a result of their newest move.

For those not already familiar with the new CEO of Broadvox, Bruce Chatterley has an impressive pedigree going into the top slot. He's formerly been the President of Business Markets at MegaPath, as well as the former CEO of Speakeasy. Speakeasy is a much more recognizable name given that, under Chatterley's tenure, it was sold to Best Buy (News - Alert) back in 2007 following a protracted period of growth.

Chatterley himself, meanwhile, is reportedly very excited to join in Broadvox's fight, and hopes to bring growth along with him. Andre Temnorod, current Chairman of the Board (who will remain so even after Chatterley's entrance into the company), expressed a great deal of faith in Chatterley, as well as hopes of further success.

And these hopes are hardly unfounded; considering that Chatterley has already done a solid job of sparking growth, first at MegaPath (News - Alert) which became part of Speakeasy – and then at Speakeasy which became part of Best Buy – it's safe to say Chatterley can pull it off once again as he's already done the job twice.

Considering that Broadvox, whose offerings tend toward customized, integrated managed VoIP communication solutions, which is in the ballpark of what Speakeasy (News - Alert) offered, it's clear that Chatterley will be in his element and have the best chance of success.

Naturally, the economic picture will be working against Chatterley as it works against every company out there right now, but where lightning strikes twice, one might want to put a lightning rod there.
