Miercom Certifies Aspect Unified IP System as 'Performance Verified'

Aspect, a provider of customer contact and Microsoft platform solutions, announced that Miercom, a specialist in networking and communications-related product testing, has awarded its contact center solution, Aspect Unified IP 7, the "Performance Verified" certification based on Miercom's independent lab testing.

The contact center solution combines enterprise telephony, customer service, and contact center features for deployments in a number of markets through its next-generation virtualized solution, company officials said.

According to Miercom, Aspect Unified IP 7 performed predictably for various failure scenarios that included network outages, failure of a virtual machine, and a power outage of physical hosts containing multiple virtual components.

During the lab test, Aspect Unified IP 7 demonstrated the same reliability as its hardware-based CallCenter and Spectrum products. The testing process proved the product’s capability to prevent dropped calls with agents or in queue, making sure the queue order is maintained. It also demonstrated its one-button reconnect for agent stations.

Further, Aspect Unified IP 7 maintained contacts and communications between agents and customers during the tested outages and all features were restored automatically when the impacted host returned online, company officials said.

"Through the series of extensive tests that we performed, Aspect has provided a highly available unified communications solution," said Rob Smithers, CEO,  Miercom, in a statement. "Through typical challenges and scenarios, the Aspect Unified IP 7 platform not only maintained availability but delivered results in a seamless and concise fashion."

Back in December, Aspect announced updated validations of AMC Technology's Aspect Unified IP 7 CRM Connector to include the latest releases of Oracle Siebel and SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM).
