iV2VIP Video Softphone Now Available
The new iV2VIP Video Softphone from Wind Currents Communications, Inc. will now be available in the iTunes store. It comes with a large keypad display, Picture-in-Picture and Contact management options. The iV2VIP app makes use of the H.264 video codec to offer global in-network video calling over any Wi-Fi Internet connection via iPhone or iPad (iOS 5) smartphone devices.
Since communication is on average 60 percent visual, face-to-face communication is always the best. The Portfolio of Solutions from Wind Currents Communications includes video phones, iV2VIP video softphone and IP phones. All of these products are smart, affordable investments for single offices, companies and healthcare agencies who are looking to upgrade their services.
In a release, CEO John Monahan said that, “The iV2VIP Video Softphone, when combined with the V2VIP service, operates affordably and reliably over existing network infrastructures, even firewalled environments. Eliminate huge upfront costs and complexities in video telephony. V2VIP service is a fully managed voice-and-video solution.”
The softphone can be used to visually connect mobile staff from different locations, such as airports or conferences, to special clients, remote offices and colleagues who have desktop videophones. This will help users increase productivity as well as collaboration. The V2VIP service can be utilized for global extension-to-extension calling; calls to any telephone number in the US or Canada; Auto-Attendant; and an option to keep existing telephone numbers.
The V2VIP Internet phone service is available with high-performance IP phones, video phones and a video softphone that gives a new meaning to video calling, for small-to-medium size businesses and healthcare agency communications. This will be extremely useful to those organizations that are looking to reduce their telephone expenses and stay ahead of the current economic odds.
Monahan went on to say that, “TelePresence is a reality we've been marketing since 1997 and now is the optimum time to leverage the value and benefits of V2VIP services and products for your business' video telephony and telecommunications needs.”
