SpawGlass, a commercial contractor, recently signed an agreement with Applied Global Technologies (News - Alert), a leading managed services and UC technology provider for interactive and mobile video conferencing solutions, to deliver the ENCORE UC Video Platform for mobile video conferencing.

The ENCORE solution will help SpawGlass expand its video conferencing platform remotely for mobile users via the Internet, allowing them to participate in meetings between regional offices via laptop, iPad or iPhone (News - Alert). SpawGlass will also use the solution to conduct in-house trainings for its employees located at jobsites. These employees will be able to participate in training sessions from their office trailers instead of traveling to the regional offices.

“SpawGlass selected Applied Global Technologies after an exhaustive search for the best solution to our video conferencing needs,” said Richard Evans, IT Manager, SpawGlass, in a statement. “The objective was to incorporate a solution that would allow us to leverage our existing video conference room systems while extending our reach to users outside the local LAN/WAN, including our employees located at jobsites and our clients. With AGT, we’re able to have a branded portal to provide a professional image to our clients, and the ease of allowing third parties to conference with us is quite impressive. It’s as simple as emailing them a link to join a video conference. Another benefit of selecting AGT--having unlimited use without the penalty of a “pay by the minute” service which allows us to be unconstrained in our approach to video conferencing.”

Mark Cray, EVP, Product Marketing, Applied Global Technologies, LLC said, “Most of our clients, like SpawGlass, are leaders in their respective markets who strategically use video conferencing in their most important business processes. They are staying ahead of their competitors and, most importantly, improving their ability to deliver cost effective quality solutions to their clients. I look forward to a long strategic business relationship with SpawGlass.”
