Gartner Recognizes Industry Retail Group

In its publication featuring U.S. Telecommunications Service Providers, Gartner (News - Alert) has recognized Industry Retail Group, Inc. (IRG), the company has announced.


Apart from increasing its client list, including several national retail chains, IRG has experienced strong growth, and added internal leadership positions over the last year. Enabling retailers to customize applications to meet specific customer needs and deliver a powerful customer experience, IRG expanded its technology offering to include secure iPad support for multi-site retailers earlier in 2011, the company stated in a press release.

“It’s a privilege for IRG to be recognized by Gartner and to be named in their publication,” said Mike Luzio, CEO of IRG. “It’s a wonderful way to end what has been our strongest year yet. Retailers have heard our message that leveraging broadband is the way to monetize this necessary business expense, and our customers can attest to what we’ve delivered. Further, I point back to our team members who have earned us this reputation. We’re thankful for this honor.”

IRG has also focused on philanthropy such as donating managed telecommunication services to insurance claim centers in Alabama and Missouri after tornado damages in both states. The company has committed to supporting organizations assisting those who have served in the U.S. military for 2012. Gartner reveals best practices for the telecommunications industry in the “Magic Quadrant for U.S. Telecommunications Service Providers,” released on Dec. 5, 2011.

Recently, the company announced the expansion of its managed services to include support for mobile applications that run on an iPad or similar tablet device. The company is a provider of retail-centric, broadband-based applications and services and expanded its support based on heavy demand from retailers. The expanded mobile services are aimed at retailers who would like to utilize customer-centric mobile applications throughout their retail chain. The mobile applications are meant to improve the customer experience.
