Janalent, an award winning technology solutions organization, recently announced the appointment of Sam Cavaliere – a Microsoft (News - Alert) technologies expert with over 20 years of experience – as the company’s unified Communications Practice lead.

Cavaliere has over 20 years of IT experience in the areas of Unified Communications (News - Alert), Strategic Consulting, Enterprise Sales, and IT Operations. According to Janalent, Cavaliere is going to combine his technology and business expertise, with his deep knowledge of Microsoft Lync, Exchange, and enterprise solutions to help Janalent customers solve their IT business challenges.

In his new role, Cavaliere is expected to directly help the enterprise customers deliver and implement Unified Communication solutions.  He is also going to share proven practices with the UC community through speaking engagements and appearances at global conferences, Jenalent clarified in a statement.

“We are very pleased to bring Sam onboard at Janalent. His expertise in architecting and developing Microsoft-based solutions, including two decades of broad-range IT business, product, and consulting experience, along with his strong rapport within the global UC community, will greatly benefit our enterprise customers as Janalent continues to enable businesses to get the most from their Unified Communications platform and maximize productivity in the workplace. We are deeply honored to welcome Sam to the Janalent family,” Anne Chahal, chief executive officer of Janalent noted in a statement.

Prior to joining Janalent, Cavaliere was a Unified Communications specialist at Microsoft with a deep focus on Microsoft Lync, and a member of Microsoft’s NY Metro team since 2007.

Cavaliere served Microsoft Consulting Services for 11 years. In Microsoft Consulting Services , he held a number of roles including Engagement Manager and Architect. He lived in Madison, NJ for the last 10 years where he was a member of the Madison Board of Education and the Madison Fire Department.

“Janalent offers a unique opportunity for its eco-system of clients and partners with its proven leadership with enterprise messaging and recognition as Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner of the Year in 2009 and 2010 for Unified Communications. I am really excited to be joining such a terrific team and look forward to bringing our Unified Communications practice forward even further,” Cavaliere said in a statement.

Recently, Janalent and Microsoft together delivered the first partner-led Microsoft Experience Center (MEC) series within the U.S., to Las Vegas business and technology decision makers. Business and technology decision makers can leverage the interactive, immersive MEC session to test drive the Microsoft business productivity platform in a “day-in-the-life” type of format, the company explained in an earlier press release.

The MEC session also gives attendees useful insight about Microsoft business productivity tools and technologies. Both partners noted that experiential learning and dynamic discussions enable end-users to decide which Microsoft solutions can be utilized to help their company innovate and grow.
