Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) has selected INX to deploy a Cisco (News - Alert)-centric unified communications solution. INX is a U.S. provider of IP based unified communications and data center/cloud infrastructure solutions for enterprise organizations.
Looking to drive the deployment of a Cisco Unified Communications (News - Alert) solution that will include telephony, voicemail and contact center features customized to meet OHSU specific business needs, OHSU chose INX as their integration partner. To support the communications needs of its more than 13,500 employees across 450 business units, OHSU will use the Cisco-based solution, the company has announced in a press release.
Mark Hilz, INX CEO and President, commented, “We are pleased to be selected by OHSU to design and implement an advanced communication solution. Our approach is to first understand the business requirements and then design the technology that will enable their business goals and enhance business process. Unified Communications represents a great opportunity for any business that still runs on a legacy phone system that's disparate from the data network. These days, you can take advantage of merging telecommunication and data networks.”
Having a close working relationship with the solution manufacturer, Cisco Systems (News - Alert), INX has expertise in the unified communications field, strong healthcare and higher education practices. A deciding factor in choosing INX for this project, INX's (News - Alert) unique project deployment methodology, called the “Strategic Delivery Framework” (SDF), mitigates risk of complex IT adoption and focuses on business-process transformation, the company claims.
Recently, the company announced that it has achieved the Cisco Cloud Builder designation within the Cisco Cloud Partner Program. With the designation, INX will now be able to sell and implement Cisco network-centric, end-to-end cloud solutions for end-customers and cloud providers. Mark Hilz, President and CEO of INX, said that they are extremely pleased to be one of the first partners to achieve a badge in Cisco's new Cloud Partner Program.
