ConnectSolutions Unveils New Unified Communications Platform and Orion Services

October 31, 2011

ConnectSolutions, a provider of communication, conferencing, and collaboration solutions, announced the launch of its unified communication (UC) solution comprising the UC3 platform and Orion services for large enterprise and government agencies.

The UC3 Platform and Orion Services are designed to offer Adobe Connect, Microsoft Lync and other UC applications to address client's specific needs.

"The UC3 Platform was four years in the making,” said Chris Tennant, CTO and co-founder of ConnectSolutions, in a statement. “We've invested millions in tuning performance to handle the largest, global communication and conferencing needs.”

“To date, we've served up over a billion minutes of collaboration through some of the largest global deployments of Fortune 1000 companies and federal government agencies. We've worked intensely to overcome the technical hurdles of running complex UC applications at scale in a global environment.”

Leveraging the new end-to-end UC solutions, organizations will have tools for a particular job or department rather than one technology.

ConnectSolutions unifies various UC applications through deep integrations and a centralized control center. This creates a truly unified experience for large numbers of employees working globally in remote locations.

The cost-effective UC3 Platform on the cloud is a significant technical achievement. The platform has the capability to overcome the challenges associated with integrating disparate communication and conferencing solutions in order to give clients choice and flexibility, company officials said.

The new unified communications platform is designed for Web conferencing, voice and telephony, instant messaging, presence, video streaming and mobile communications. The platform benefits enterprises as it lowers total cost of ownership than an on-premise deployment.

Recently, ConnectSolutions announced that it achieved more than 1,000,000,000 Web conferencing and virtual conference call minutes. The culmination of millions of meetings and webcasts include several high profile events with President Obama and Secretary Clinton communicating with viewers around the world.
