Intacct, a leader in cloud financial management and accounting software, recently signed a partnership agreement with Business Solutions, a long-time Microsoft (News - Alert) and Sage partner that boasts a substantial client base in the Midwest region of the United States.

Intacct will allow Business Solutions to have access to their cloud offering, enabling the company to diversify its portfolio to take advantage of the significant growth in demand for cloud computing-based applications.

Business Solutions is particularly strong in vertical markets, including restaurant franchises, financial institutions, healthcare and other services industries. It plans to take advantage of the opportunity to build repeatable solutions for key industries and develop entirely new applications that can be broadly marketed and sold.

"We've wanted to move our financial software offering to the cloud for some time, but needed to make sure we could partner with the right company – one that would serve the needs of our customers and enable us to take our business to the next level," said Aaron Brandwein, partner at Business Solutions, in a statement. "Once we started to see our existing clients moving to Intacct on their own, it was clear we needed to take a closer look at cloud computing, and Intacct in particular. We were really impressed with the depth of functionality Intacct offers and also liked the idea of working closely with Taylor Macdonald, who knows how to help partners build successful businesses. With the buzz around cloud computing growing louder every day, we knew the timing was right to diversify our portfolio with Intacct."

"We really like that the Intacct system is native to the cloud, as opposed to being an on-premises solution that has been retrofitted to work in the cloud. With the robust features offered by Intacct, we expect it to be very popular with our clients and prospects," commented Brandwein. "Intacct's channel program is also set up to help us succeed, offering extensive product and sales training, as well as clear communication about corporate strategy and competitive positioning. It has been a while since I have been this excited about our business. We're getting back to having fun again!"

"Companies are gravitating to cloud applications because they are easier to use, more cost-effective to manage, and deliver a better return on investment than on-premises alternatives. With no viable cloud financial applications available from legacy vendors like Microsoft and Sage, their partners are increasingly turning to Intacct to fill that void," said Macdonald. "We're excited to add Business Solutions to the Intacct Business Partner Program to expand our reach in the Midwest. They have built a tremendous business helping clients get the most from their financial system. We look forward to helping them deliver the benefits of our cloud financial applications to clients and take advantage of the cloud computing momentum."
