Tech Data Canada to Bring ShoreTel Business Communication Solutions to Broader Canadian Market

September 20, 2011

ShoreTel, a leading provider of Unified Communication (UC) solutions based on its award-winning IP business phone system, recently inked a new distribution agreement with Tech Data Canada, the Canadian subsidiary of Tech Data Corporation.

Under this agreement, Tech Data will bring ShoreTel business communications solutions to partners and customers in all Canadian Provinces and Territories. This new alliance is expected to enhance ShoreTel’s local market specialization.

A specialist in the fields of IP telephony, wireless networking and VoIP technologies, Tech Data Canada has a strong partner network consisting of over 5,000 technology resellers and solution providers. Tech data Canada will offer stand-alone ShoreTel products, as well as fully integrated, multi-vendor solutions through its resellers. Thanks to the partnership between ShoreTel and Tech Data Canada, the Canadian resellers will now be able to operate effectively in local currencies and time zones and maintain a local inventory.

The recent partnership agreement with Tech Data Canada is part of ShoreTel's recently announced global two-tier channel distribution strategy. The ShoreTel management views this agreement as a valuable milestone with regard to the company’s global ambitions. The partnership with an experienced, value-added distributor like Tech Data Canada will enable the company to continue to deliver unsurpassed quality and value to Canadian customers, the Shore Tal authorities maintained.

“Demand is high for an affordable, scalable business communications solution that is easy to deploy and will support an increasingly mobile workforce. We're thrilled to work with Tech Data Canada to deliver ShoreTel's brilliantly simple line of UC products throughout the Canadian market, and we are confident that the relationship will empower our partners and customers to find the ShoreTel solution best suited to their unique communications needs and resources,” Country Manager of Canada at ShoreTel George Pappas claimed in a press release.

In July, Tech Data Canada announced that Microsoft has officially named them as their exclusive Virtualization Value Added Distributor (VAD) in Canada.
