Loyal attendees of countless ITEXPOs in the past, the Broadvox (News - Alert) team was in attendance once again in Austin at ITEXPO West 2011 last week, sending its largest contingent to date, to the show.
Aside from exhibiting on the show floor, Broadvox, a VoIP, SIP Trunking and Unified Communications provider, also supported several of the collocated events such asIngate’s SIP Trunking Workshop, theChannelVision Expo andTelecom Reseller Week as well as participating on various panels.
Those on the Broadvox team lending their knowledge and experience in the telecom industry on panel discussions included David Byrd, executive vice-president, sales and marketing, Chad Krantz, executive director of channel sales and Steve Davis (News - Alert), director of product management and product marketing at Cypress Communications.
“ITEXPO is always a great event,” said David Byrd. “Rich Tehrani’s decision to hold the ITEXPO West event in Austin, Texas made it convenient for Broadvox (headquartered in Dallas) to send a larger group than usual to participate in the great variety of presentations and events.”
During Telecom Reseller Week, David Byrd (News - Alert) spoke on the topic of increasing sales of IP communications products and services as sales of TDM based products (PRIs) slow down on the session entitled, “2012 No Recession Here: Where the growth is! Stop selling into declining markets and sell growth instead.” Byrd also discussed the best instances to use a premises-based solution or a hosted solution, a topic he often explores on the Broadvox SIP & Serve Blog. Lastly, Byrd moderated a panel entitled, “Selling Unified Communications to Small Businesses,” during the SIP Trunking Workshop.
Chad Krantz, Broadvox executive director of Channel Sales also got in on the fun when he presented a SIP Trunking case study for the SIP Trunking Workshop. He also discussed, “Cloud and Mobility: What are the Products Companies will Demand?” in an interview with Telecom Reseller and Hosted Communications for the SMB as part of the main conference.
Steve Davis addressed the Broadvox vision for Unified Communications during the Ingate sponsored Town Hall Meetings as well as the unveiling of the newest addition to the award-winning Broadvox (and Cypress Communications) UCaaS platform, powered by Cisco (News - Alert) HCS. Broadvox is one of only a handful of resellers of the Cisco HCS Solution, allowing businesses and enterprises to integrate enterprise level Unified Communications solutions without the up-front CAPEX, but instead, as a fully cloud-hosted, managed end-to-end communications solution.
