4PSA, which provides cloud communication software, now offers the VoipNow Cloud Instance solution as part of its VoipNow Unified Communications (News - Alert) Platform. The company is promoting the solution at ITEXPO West 2011 this week at the Austin Convention Center.

The VoipNow Unified Communications Platform is a suite of software applications designed to accelerate unified communications adoption by businesses and end users. The VoipNow Cloud Instance provides all of the necessary infrastructure and software for service providers or businesses that want to provide multi-tenant UC.

Mike Ross (News - Alert), president of 4PSA, explained that the VoipNow Cloud Instance eliminates the need for businesses and service providers to choose, buy and maintain the servers for their hosted UC software.

“There’s no planning now,” Ross told TMC (News - Alert). “Within 24 hours they get a cloud instance.”

That means no capex for servers, and faster time to market, Ross added.

The VoipNow Cloud Instance, available in 4PSA Clouds in North America and Europe, can be purchased from the 4PSA website, which is at www.4psa.com. Free 30-day evaluation trials are available for qualified companies.

Ross said the VoipNow Cloud Instance is just the latest example of how 4PSA provides its customers agility, performance and scale.

UC features delivered by 4PSA solutions include a highly scalable carrier class multi-tenant IP PBX (News - Alert) with VoIP calling, ACD queues, auto-attendant and IVR, auto provisioning for phones, conferencing, desktop integration, fax, instant messaging, integration with other cloud-based applications such as CRM, presence management, video calling, voicemail-to-e-mail, and more. The company offers 175 features in all, according to Ross, adding that customers can pick-and-choose the options they like.

“It’s more a Burger King model,” he said. “Put on your bun what you want.”

4PSA also provides an open API that allows integrators and others to use simple scripts to add functionality as needed.

The platform is also flexible in that it offers customers a very affordable ($1 per extension per month), pay-as-you-go service.

The Linux-based architecture, which was built as a cloud platform from the ground up, also leverages Asterisk (News - Alert), yet is easy to manage and very robust, Ross added.

“The customers that come to us stay with us,” he said.

4PSA has more than 3,000 resellers globally now, and the company last year brought Ross aboard to focus on expanding its business in North America.
